Oshawa Renovation
This customer installed a variable speed pump however it was not working properly because these variable speed pump require a 2” suction line from the skimmer and common practice when this pool was built was only using 1 ½” suction lines to the pump.

After trenching to the pool shed we installed a new skimmer and ran a 2” suction line back to the variable speed pump. The pump ran excellent all summer and had no more issues and now the customer is enjoying the huge savings on his electrical bill.

Bowmanville Renovation
This pool was roughly 30 years old and the concrete was sinking and cracking at both ends of the pool. We cut out the old concrete without harming the existing coping. We installed sonotube footings to support the back edge and poured the new concrete and re-installed anchors for their existing safety cover. We also installed a 30 gauge Bali/Blue Granite Latham Liner.

Courtice Renovation
This couple had received our name from friends of theirs and called us shortly after moving into this new home to have a look at the pool. One of the conditions of buying the home was that the pool was “As Is”. The former home owner did not do anything to the pool and just let it go.
The concrete around the pool was sinking and pulling away from the coping and there were trip edges all around the pool which made it unsafe.

We came in and removed all the concrete and the old liner. We then installed sonotubes on the back edge where the new concrete was going to support the concrete deck so it would not sink like this again in the future. We installed a new skimmer and returns and ran all new plumbing back to the equipment shed. The shed had an old wood floor that was in rough condition so we took out the floor where the equipment was and poured concrete so that if they decided to add a heater down the road everything was ready to go.
We were then able to form where the new concrete was going and pour the new concrete around the pool. We extended the concrete right to the gate so they had a nice level and sturdy surface to walk into the backyard on verses the old stepping stones that were there before.

After enjoying the pool all summer they had us install a heater in the spring so that they could enjoy the pool for a little longer.

Oshawa Renovation
This was another major renovation on a 30 plus year old pool. As you can see from the pictures the concrete had sunk and was pulling away from the coping in multiple areas. We cut out all the existing concrete and removed the liner and the existing coping. We installed sonotubes to support the back edge of the new concrete deck and used rebar to reinforce the new concrete deck. We expanded the concrete deck so that the water slide is now sitting on concrete and not patio slabs. We installed a new skimmer and returns along with new plumbing lines and bonded the pool back to the equipment. We installed the Fresco II liner by Latham.

Oshawa Renovation
We received a call from this customer in January of 2017 and he asked Matt and I to come out to have a look at his pool because he was thinking of just having it filled in.

Once we looked at it and told him that it could be fixed he was thrilled because his wife loved having the pool. The concrete deck around the pool was in very rough shape and needed to be taken out and the shallow end wall closest to the house was caving in and therefore that wall would need to be straightened.

The pool would also need a new skimmer and returns as well as new coping, a new liner and faceplates.
Once we started the demo we found that the A frames attached to the steel walls were never installed correctly and therefore were all pulling away from the panels. Now we not only had one wall caving in but the two side walls needed to be straightened as well.

The customer was also having a problem keeping his pool chemistry balanced because of the location that his returns were originally installed. We removed one of his returns in the deep end and moved it to the opposite side of the pool to help with the circulation.
After straightening the walls and re-locating the return we ran all new plumbing lines back to his equipment pad and now we could form and pour the concrete deck around the pool.

Once the liner was installed the customer could not believe this was his pool. The customer installed a new retaining wall at the back and did some landscaping and now has a beautiful backyard for his family to enjoy.
