Pool Renovations

With aging pools not only does the liner need to be replaced but often times the coping, deck around the pool, plumbing and equipment may need replacing as well.

In some cases steel walls need to be straightened or lifted or you may want to finally get those walk in steps. No matter what you are looking for Arme Pools has the experience to make your pool look like new.

Newcastle
This project consisted of renovating the entire pool. New pluming lines were ran to the new equipment pad. A new skimmer and returns were installed and an additional line was run for the water feature.
Sidemount track coping was installed for the liner and a three foot subsunk deck was poured around the pool.

The steel panels were extremely rusted and damaged which need to be scraped and treated to slow down the aging process.
Scenic View Landscaping did an excellent job with all of the interlock, water feature and fireplace to give Gord and his family the backyard paradise they were looking for.

Oshawa
This job involved the removal and disposal of the existing concrete around the pool perimeter that had sunken in several places around the pool. We installed a new skimmer and poured a new finished concrete deck around the pool. A full print Latham 30 mil liner was installed with all new faceplates and gaskets. The diving board and slide were anchored to the new deck.

Anthony called us after receiving our number from a friend telling us that the corner of his pool had sunk about 3 inches in the shallow end.

The first step we took was to sawcut a two foot strip of concrete in the troubled corner. We had to then remove the concrete and be extra careful that we did not damage the existing coping. Once the concrete and wire mesh was out we then had to dig down to the bottom of the panels. Once we were at the bottom of the panels we needed to jackhammer the concrete around the base of the sunken panels and A frame holding them in place. After all of this we were then able to re-level the panels before cementing them in place.

We then replaced both skimmers and two of the three returns.
Part of the problem and reason for the shallow end corner sinking was that there were no supports underneath the walk in steps.
We dug out under the stairs and installed the necessary step supports and cemented them in place.

We were then able to backfill the areas we had dug out and reinforced the existing coping in spots.

Anthony decided that he was going to install all new interlock in the backyard himself and although it took some time for him to complete he did an excellent job and changed the whole look of his backyard. Once Anthony had finished the first few feet of interlock around the pool we installed a full print Latham 30 mil liner with all new faceplates and gaskets.
